Fluorspar

(natural calcium fluoride)

Characteristics

  • Density: 3.2 g/cm³
  • Streak color: white
  • Crystal: cubical
  • Mohs‘ hardness: 4
  • Fracture: plane to shell-shaped, brittle

Range of use:

electrode-quality for fluxes and electrode production, metallurgic-quality for the foundry industry and synthetic clinkers, additive for glass, enamel and plastic, acid spar (> 97% CaF2) for the production of hydrogen fluoride, for special clinker bricks in the cement industry, additive for lubricants and polymeric anti-friction agents.

Additionally we offer specialties with custom made particle size distributions (e.g.: > 45 µm = < 1 % or > 20 µm = < 0.1 %) or upgraded surface properties (e.g. improved hydrophilicity).

Custom made product designing:

We offer – in close co-ordination with our production plants – custom-made products, designed in particular to the requirements of the application and/or the process of our customers.
